SteelWorks® Mobile appliance for BlackBerry Enterprise Server is now available complete with the features and licensing requirements that will enable hosting service providers to offer a hosted BlackBerry solution to their customers.
SteelWorks® Mobile, an appliance for BlackBerry Enterprise Server, utilizes SteelCloud’s simple and consistent plug and play installation. Use of the appliance will enable hosting service providers to be able to rapidly deploy a hosted BlackBerry service that also leverages SteelWorks® Mobile’s high availability EverAvail™ technology for a highly reliable environment and cost effective solution. Other key benefits include:
- Ability to get up and running in under 30 minutes
- Global support from Dell for hardware service and support
- Standard High Availability EverAvail™ for 7/24 customer uptime utilizing SyncBeat™, SteelWorks’ database synchronization facility
- One time hardware cost for a fully integrated appliance solution
- No minimum hosting seat requirements
SteelCloud will offer hosting service providers a High Availability option with their EverAvail™ technology which leverages the high-availability (HA) features of BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 to provide failover to a back up appliance unit ensuring that there’s no interruption to the service provider’s hosted BlackBerry service offering. The SteelWorks® Mobile HA implementation with SyncBeat™ is a standard feature of the appliance and is unique in that it only requires two appliances for fully redundant failover operation.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our appliance to the hosting community,” said Brian Hajost, SteelCloud’s President and CEO. “It delivers an excellent way for these Partners to provide outstanding BlackBerry service without having to dedicate significant resources to install, maintain, and manage a hosted BlackBerry infrastructure.”
“SteelCloud’s plug and play appliance for BlackBerry Enterprise Server is a compelling offering for service providers to enable them to deliver their own Hosted BlackBerry services,” said Tyler Lessard, Vice President, Global Alliances and Developer Relations at Research In Motion. “The SteelWorks Mobile appliance is an exciting enabler that will help service providers get up and running quickly."
