San Francisco, CA - The much-anticipated wait is over; Stitcher, a smart streaming audio application, is now available for the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900 smartphone. Users can download the application from BlackBerry App World™ (www.blackberry.com/appworld) or at www.stitcher.com/dl.
“We are excited to offer Stitcher to an even wider group of BlackBerry users,” said Stitcher CEO and co-founder Noah Shanok. “We received a huge number of requests for Stitcher for the BlackBerry Curve 8900, so we moved support for that model to the top of our ‘new platform list’.”
Stitcher was introduced on BlackBerry App World in May 2009 and is available for the BlackBerry® Storm™, many of the BlackBerry® Curve™ 83xx series and BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphones and will continue to roll out for additional BlackBerry smartphone models as they become available, as well as other new mobile platforms.
Additionally, Stitcher is set to launch version 1.2 in early July. This update includes; improved handling of longer shows, full seek functionality and support for Bluetooth® streaming.
