Vodafone Malta and RIM Introduce the New BlackBerry Curve 8900 Smartphone in Malta

Introducing the thinnest BlackBerry smartphone yet

Birkirkara, Malta and Waterloo, ON, Canada - Vodafone Malta Ltd and Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today launched the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900 in Malta. The new BlackBerry Curve 8900 has an expansive feature set that keeps users easily connected to family, friends and colleagues. In addition to the exceptional phone, email, messaging, organizer, web browser and multimedia applications, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone features global connectivity support, built-in Wi-Fi® and GPS, a next generation 512MHz processor and a stunning hi-resolution display.

Sporting a sleek new style, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone incorporates a full-QWERTY keyboard and an intuitive trackball that allow easy typing and navigation. Its 3.2 megapixel camera, with auto focus, digital zoom, flash and video recording*, takes sharp, print-quality pictures. It also includes a microSD/SDHC expandable memory card slot that supports up to 16GB per card, giving users plenty of storage that's easily interchangeable.

Vodafone Malta is offering the BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphone at €470 without a contract, however various discounts are being offered to customers based on the tariff plan selected. For example, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is being offered free as a special launch promotion on the Smart60+ post paid tariff.
