FancyFon Unlocks the Potential of Mobile Device Lifecycle Management for BlackBerry Smartphone Users
Cork, Ireland - FancyFon™, a pioneer in unlocking the capabilities of next generation mobile communications, today announced that it has become a member of the BlackBerry® Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Alliance Program. FancyFon will have access to the business and technical resources available from Research In Motion (RIM) to further develop FancyFon’s robust and innovative solution for its BlackBerry® smartphone customers.
FancyFon Mobility Center (FAMOC™) is a centralized mobile device lifecycle management platform that enables customers to control multiple mobile devices in real time, over the air. This provides customers with the following benefits:
- Removes administrative complexity and minimizes support costs
- Improves business productivity and increases employee efficiency
- Enables the seamless roll out of new and improved services, over the air
- FancyFon does this by providing remote support and diagnostic tools that enable mobile operators and enterprise customers to capture and analyze information from end users’ BlackBerry smartphones, such as screen shots, application performance and files.
Dietmar Fuchs, COO at FancyFon comments; “As a BlackBerry ISV alliance member we recognize that there is a great need to provide customers with a tool that simplifies and centralizes the management and maintenance of BlackBerry smartphones, and will provide our customers with unprecedented operational efficiencies.”
The FancyFon FAMOC device management platform can support multiple BlackBerry® Enterprise Servers (version 4.0, with plans to support version 5.0 by Q3 2009). It also supports other mobile operating systems, consolidating user data over the air, into one central location. FAMOC simplifies the process of moving user data from multiple platform handsets to BlackBerry smartphones, enabling the centralized management of all corporate handsets, regardless of operating system and manufacturer. FAMOC enables organizations to remotely install any application, wipe a device or create new functionality on BlackBerry smartphones, via multiple BlackBerry Enterprise Servers, from a single common FAMOC console.
The relationship with RIM supports FancyFon’s drive to offer its customers the ability to maintain and manage all mobile handsets, based on operating systems that include BlackBerry OS®, Symbian S60, UIQ, Windows Mobile, Android, iPhone and Java-based feature phones from different producers, e.g. Apple, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, HTC and many more.
